About us

My name is Abdallah Odeh Al-Zalabieh and I’m of the native Bedouin Zalabieh tribe. I have lived in Wadi Rum my whole life and I know the desert like no one else.

All of my English speaking guides are of the same Bedouin Zalabieh tribe and have the same wisdom of the desert acquired over many generations. We know the Jordanian desert like the back of our hands and can reveal to you its beauty and mystery.

Wadi Rum Nabatean Camp offers a range of services and tours to accommodate all your wishes and needs – see our tours for details. Whether you want a strenuous overnight hike in remote location, a camel experience, or a tour from the back of a furnished Jeep, we are flexible and easygoing.  Contact us to organize your own unique experience.

Our traditionally woven black sheepskin tents are spacious and offer beds with comfortable mattresses. There are 12 tents in the camp, of varying sizes, suitable for various group sizes. If you prefer something more authentic – we also offer luxurious cave accommodation.

Our camp sits 12 kilometers into the protected area, which is significantly more isolated than most of the other camps. The camp is in walking distance of several famous rock formations, like Barrah Canyon or the Burdah Rock Bridge

Each night we serve traditional Bedouin food, cooked in a fire  ‘underground’. You will have dinner in a large tent where you can eat with your fellow travellers. If you are vegetarian, vegan or have any other dietary requirements we will happily accommodate for this.

Every night we gather around the bonfire under the desert sky to exchange stories, drink tea, and play traditional Bedouin music. Join us.
